Recently I have been asked to contribute a regular column to WOBI (World of Business Ideas) Magazine. The first article in the series has now been published, which I am pleased to share in English (PDF) and in Spanish (via this link). If you aren’t already familiar, WOBI’s mission is to “seek out the most innovative, influential and inspirational ideas shaping the business world and spread them around the globe without geographical boundaries, without hierarchies, without limits. It aims to not only build better businesses, but better people and ultimately a better world.”
So without further ado, here’s a brief excerpt from my article “Your Top Strategic Priority: Staying Relevant” via WOBI:
Imagine that one night you are having a couple of terrible nightmares. In one frightening dream, the business you manage suddenly loses its most important market. Then in another dream, your core business abruptly becomes obsolete. Now imagine that you wake up and your dream is actually the reality. What would you do? Could you find a way to save your business? Better yet, could you use such a crisis to reorient your company towards new heights of success?
